My Story
I'm running the Eden Project half marathon in October 2019 for Five Talents UK - I entered a competition not really expecting to win!
Five Talents UK provides savings schemes, small loans, and business training for those in need in rural Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Democratic Republic of Congo. They make use of a modern, hybrid form of savings-based microfinance that relies on local partners, enterprising clients, and an innovative use of technology. They enable the enterprising poor to set up small businesses by providing business training alongside savings & microloan facilities.
